Grades are posted for my first Intermediate Drawing project.

I got 95/100 points, so I can't complain.

I DO have the option to rework my drawings and resubmit for a higher grade, but the one area I got less than Outstanding in is the one area I can't revise

I think I'll stick with my 95/100 😅

That is so messed up, considering the large number of POC service members in military...

I am not 100% satisfied with the "skirt" on the second drawing.

I have aphantasia (I lack a "mind's eye"), so I have a very hard time drawing without either a reference photo or drawing from life. It's also imaginary tinfoil (which is my nemesis), which adds to the difficulty and frustration...

Note to self: buy a tube of Cobalt Blue oil paint!

A Day in the Life of a Fine Artist:

When you want to work on your drawing (which is due in 4 days), but you're afraid to work on it, because you aren't confident in how you are going to render certain areas, and you don't want to risk ruining the drawing and having to start all over from scratch...

I have to darken some darks and re-whiten some whites (i'll do that on Tuesday in class), but otherwise this drawing is DONE!

Aside from the background, which I have to fill in tomorrow in class, I'm calling this drawing DONE!

If I were to close my Amazon accounts (along with my Kindle account), is there any way to avoid losing access to all of the Kindle books I have bought over the years?

That alone is probably the only thing keeping me from closing my Amazon accounts. I have SO MANY Kindle books...

Progress on my drawing, as of right now. I still need to finish the tinfoil, wooden skewer, and wire legs.

The background is going to need some tweaking. Fingerprints and such. Still trying to figure out how much of the background to gray out...

Once everything else is drawn in, I'm going to darken the background.

Progress since lunchtime. Foil is a pain in the ass to draw!

I feel bad for that performer getting booed at like that, but can you blame them?

More work on drawing done. Finished torso and top of skirt as much as I can. I need to do shelves, next ruff, and bottom skirt.

I wish I was able to bring home my entire drawing toolbox. I really need access to my electric eraser and MonoZero erasers to get all the details done on this piece...

More progress on my drawing.

The head is done, as are the hands. I have to render the paper towel on the arms and collar, and the sponge on the torso.

After that, I have to do the skirt, which is a cupcake wrapper and some tinfoil. My Mars Lumograph Black Carbon pencils will be good for that.

Any tips on how to fix the shading on this?

I was trying to establish the background color on this graphite drawing. I tried using just a jumbo graphite crayon and a chamois, and applying graphite powder with pastel brushes. Neither seems to work well.

Is this savable, or should I restart it?
