On top of that, when it comes to fantasy based/video game adaptations, 99% of people's experiences *will* be *actual* cosplay in real life. Fans will make high quality costumes as soon as the game is out, let alone before studios start adapting it. Our perception is already crafted from that, alone.

I feel for the cast and crew when early stills from TV/films of iconic characters are released.

Many set costumes often look like expensive cosplay in real life. Lighting/grading/post prod effects are usually what make it look as good as it does moving, and photo effects rarely match that.

Ha, for good and for bad, for thankfully - mercifully - this time it's the former.

I hope that our hope spreads over to your side of the pond, even if it's a tiny drop.
