I'm definitely going through stylists in a salon now - I did for the second guy but it didn't occur to me he wouldn't get the hair texture. I'll certainly be asking about texture next time though - thanks so much for the suggestions here 💖

yeah,, and they were absolutely lost once my hair wasn't straight anymore lmfao. It sucks tho cause I've had non white folks underestimate my hair too, when I've gotten relaxers? they thought my hair couldn't handle the heavy stuff, and by the end of the week, I was curly again lol. I'm cursed

deadass yesterday, this dude just kept wetting my hair and started losing track of where he was cutting because it was already a frizzy mess of fluff. He let me walk out of the salon wondering if my hair would look good when it was straightened... He also didn't even have a flat iron?? lmao

I have now been to two(2) hairdressers that have just. completely ignored me when I've warned them that my hair becomes curly when wet. and I don't mean white people curly. I mean I am of mixed race, my hair is tight and frizzy and thick. I'm getting so tired of wasting money on botched haircuts lol
