The colors and background are taken directly from a photo I took in Kyoto, and the birds are mejiro (Zosterops japonicus), which I was lucky enough to see in the first couple of days in a lush camellia.

As always, my holiday cards are inspired by something that happened in the year. 2025 was the year I took a trip to Japan for a month-long residency, just in time for the snow to still be on the blooming camellias, and then traveled with @kyledeleted.bsky.social for two weeks. Truly a dream trip.
