"We've made a game about befriending Pokémon and rebuilding civilisation so here's everything you need to know in five minutes flat that you'll improve on throughout the game so you can get started. Also we're not going to resource-starve you or make progress dependent on you working a second job."

I think I've worked out why I love Pokopia so much, other than it being a gorgeous Pokémon game: it's not grindy. So many cozy games are stressful to play because they either rely on RNG or daily events to keep you coming back, but Pokopia is a confident game whose only objective is *fun*.

You know the best way to kill AI? Don't use it. Don't buy it. Don't share it. Don't give the people who use it your labour or your money.

Andrew O’Hagan · Stay Classy: Mummy’s Favourite

While I'm glad pieces like this are highlighting how people are waking up to the abhorrence that is a royal family, I will say that modern royals, and Andrew in particular, aren't recent phenomena. It's not an institution degrading over time, it's always been like this www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v4...

Hey, not before they do my Dark Souls inspired transformers game where you're a lone bot battling through a ruined Cybertron, learning about the great war and ultimately deciding whether or not to reignite the matrix knowing it'll probably all kick off again.

Pokémon Battle Gimmicks Survey
Heya! Thanks for helping me out with my next Pyara region video :)
hey everyone! working on a big pyara region video, but i want to make sure i've done my research properly, so i've set up this quick survey - it would mean a lot to me if you filled it out, or reposted it so other people can see it!
thanks <3

I was wondering about using a Raspberry Pi but all of the tutorials I saw were on NAS and old PCs so I wasn’t sure if it’s a viable medium

I believe so yes! And dual booting is also easy, when I turn my PC on it asks if I want Linux or Windows and then just boots to whatever I choose. (And boy howdy Linux taking 0.2 seconds to boot vs. Windows minute or so even though I'm on NVME sure is SOMETHING)

/Also for Mint the installation was:
- put USB stick with installer on in turned off PC
- turn on PC and press the F key for BIOS
- tell BIOS to boot from USB stick
- run installer which also partitions your drive
- remove USB stick
It took me less than 10 minutes, and I'm stupid!

/If you're putting it on an existing PC you set it up to dual boot into Windows if you need to in future. The way I've set mine up means I can access all the files I had saved in Windows through the file explorer in Linux so I can just copy stuff over without needing to fanny about with USB sticks/

There's a lot of different versions of Linux but most now look like Windows so they're easy to learn (hence me using Mint), so I'd recommend looking up which distro you'd want to use and then googling "[software you use] mint" to see if it runs. There's software called Wine that helps with that too/

Yeah I’m fed up of paying to store my stuff on third party sites or relying on streaming to have content I want to watch, especially with the internet starting to be locked down 😤 time to start researching!
