We can trace the current Republican law-breaking to Nixon.

When we didn’t put Nixon in jail, it sent the message that lawbreaking is accepted as long as a Republican is president.

The Republicans involved in Iran-Contra got off scot free. We haven’t even bothered investigating Bush Jr’s torture.

Beth for Democracy | Bethany Andres-Beck for Congress Bethany Andres-Beck is a candidate for Congress running to represent Massachusetts' 6th District.

I don’t care if crime is popular with 32.8% of Americas. They still shouldn’t get to overthrow our society.

I’m not a career politician. I haven’t resigned myself to this injustice. I believe we can still have laws.

My campaign makes the case that society is worth defending: bethfordemocracy.com

America deserves to be ruled by laws.

That will require standing up to the criminal conspiracy that is the modern Republican Party. Including its representatives on the Supreme Court.

But it also means standing up to a Democratic Party that fears enforcing laws might cost them votes & donations.

We could feed every American for less than what we spend on our military.

It isn’t a question of resources. It is a question of priorities.

It's not that we can't afford for human rights and welfare like decent healthcare, it's that we can't get people to pay sufficient tax to do so. We saw exactly this same pattern of increasing populism with increasing inequality long before there was an Internet, in the late 1800s through WWI.

I'm curious what you think of Saul Williamson's demo in our DORA community meeting yesterday: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Goq... Also, this SPARC framework, which intrigues me a lot: github.com/ruvnet/sparc (I have no hands-on experience with any of this!)

It gets scarier here every day. I join the protests, I'm active with our local Indivisible chapter, I donate to Bernie and our other Vermont reps and to many orgs and candidates that are fighting. So many people are suffering and no doubt it it'll be my turn at some point.

Janet Gregory and I had such a mind-blowing (for me) conversation with Karen Spanier about helping women thrive in key career turning points. I'm shocked how many women's careers are derailed by perimenopause! lnkd.in/eK-wjf2b
