so, if you see a post trying to make you feel responsible for why a vtuber is struggling, remember that while it's okay to be moved and want to help, also keep in mind that if it truly is a bad situation, they shouldn't be pushing that responsibility on you.

they have their own financial situations. while some people do have spare funds and wish to use that to support their fav streamers, it should never be expected nor should anyone feel entitled to it. this bond just ends up being bad for both sides in the long term.

even when I started, it didn't take long for me to start commissions. I also budgeted a lump sum of money as back-up funds and expected nothing. any money made from stream was fun money, not "I'm seriously in need of help" money. hedging your bet on your viewers is unfair.

don't do that to them.

listen, i'm not gonna sit here and make the way the economy is going my community's problem. i think it's okay to ask for help, but there comes a point where some of these vtubers really need to be honest with themselves and get a job or find some sort of alternative extra income.

I've been severely lacking in the way I promote myself as a vtuber, and I hope this month I'll be able to get better at that!! Clips, Highlights, funny trends, tiktoks???, etc. I will be taking the opportunity to plan out how I can improve my streams and discoverability!
