It's unfortunate that so many of us go through this. The situation was similar on my end and it's led to me being touch-starved as well as an adult, nor do I have any close friends in real life.

Not a situation I would wish even on an enemy.

I do think this is why we're heading for a "decentralized" internet, even though the powers that be are very afraid of it.

At the same time though, that's also not a great thing because finding community is then impossible unless a person knows the steps.
