yet again trying to rescue capon (taking french leave) and have been outwitted by the buildings

my approach is basically:

1. fail quest repeatedly
2. look up simple walkthrough
3. follow walkthrough
4. get lost
5. get very killed
6. repeat until I accidentally get it right

the main thing I've learnt from playing kcd2 is that I have no sense of direction

Gale is standing in his shiny purple briefs, shaking a copious amount of items free from his JNCO jeans. Amongst the items scattering are Surge, cucumber melon body spray, a composition notebook, a discman, a hackey sack, an expired condom, some Pokemon cards, glasses, two Gameboy colors, a lava lamp, cat treats, and one jelly sandal. Astarion is prone on the bed, burying his face in his hands, a mixture of annoyed and patient.

astarion is watching gale through binoculars from the top of a hill. he complains that the wizard has been observing and taking notes on the minotaurs for ages. suddenly he spots that a minotaur has noticed gale, but before he can warn gale properly it starts charging.

4/? oh no who could have seen this coming

Astarion asks if it’s a good idea for Gale to approach the minotaurs as it might be dangerous. Gale retorts that he’s hardly defenceless and that the minotaurs should be more docile since it’s their breeding season. Astarion replies “far be it from me to hold back your academic pursuits” and waves him off as Gale starts to climb down the hill towards the minotaurs.

a continuation of a comic of gale and astarion from bg3. they’re on a hill in the underdark and gale is looking down at a field of minotaurs with binoculars. “Magnificent creatures, aren’t they?” he says. “How lucky we are to be able to observe them like this!” Astarion snatches the binoculars and ogles a sexy minotaur with a shit-eating grin on his face. He says “Mmhm, yes. I’m sure your interest is entirely academic. So, why exactly have you brought me along?” Gale, smiling, says “To share the experience with my nearest and dearest? And, if you’re willing… I need an assistant to observe while i try to get closer.”
