I hope this will be picked up by European leaders. Now that Trump has decided that he opposes more Russians dying, but is fine with them killing more Ukrainians, Europe has to take more responsibility for a member of the European family - “one of us”, as von der Leyen said at the start of the war.

What's wrong with this is it assumes that if Ze had acceded to everything Trump wanted, Ukraine would be safe from Putin. Minsk 1 & 2 showed that in reality Ze wd have abased himself for Trump, & then Putin wd have pressed on, with UA starting from an even weaker position.
