When someone acts like having standards in a relationship = being controlling Ultra Annoyed I remember a while back on my old Reddit account I got into an argument with some German dude who called me a prude and a control freak because I made a comment under someones post saying that I wouldn't let my girlfriend go out publicly with nothing on (she doesn't Imao). I thought it was ragebait but the guy was dead serious and was acting like I was Chris Brown just cause I said I wouldn't let my girlfriend go out naked, which I feel like is just common sense for people and 99% would feel the same way Obviously there are exceptions to my pet peeve like in cases of actual abuse but it just seems like a lot of stuff I see people online call controlling are just normal standards in a relationship, or at worst just issues that could be talked out through a normal conversation
