They want to talk to white people out of state and let them be racists while they grant completely unfair advantages and talk to Black people like children

They’ve spent what the last ten years especially last three absolutely delighting in Black people working over time to save them from themselves while equity is

I absolutely feel you fam!

This is not all places, people are electing Progressive Black people at a very interesting clip

With a black candidates who swing more progressive doing better than many a centrist Black person ( who still does better than your average Dem)

stop investing in people who don’t want that

But also stop accepting “conflict” “ fear” “feeling unheard” as an excuse .

They want to come to you with the emotional trauma, they want you to figure out what they need to focus on … but when it comes time to reckon with your actual needs ?

It’s pragmatism

The person who turns “Black joy” into a performance to “get out the vote” when people are only anti Trump not actually pro Black

start blinking at them and ask for the actual bills and policy not concept

The “radicals” who argue réification and condescension but can’t actually sit with nobody but white leftists, and spend their time fighting everyone over whose a centrists

Cool their role is to get their comrades to make clear racial equity statements then come back

That “friend” who does really good work and is high visibility but always ends up “raising awareness” being anti Black

This research has made me accept that I'm not only documenting Black history as it relates to media formats, but I'm also living inside Black history as it relates to the Black Midwest. I'm not *only* researching but I'm applying first-hand knowledge and experience with these documents.

I don't give up on myself. Proving haters wrong is the best fuel.

So now they have numbers will we start talking about how confrontational/ “non risk averse” Black and Latina women are consistently degendered

Into “men” / “threats”

As a way to justify targeted abuse

And what “risk” means is different based on racial positioning

Follow up questions:

“What do Black women see as actual risk vs what white women do”

“ Did the data included socioeconomic stratifications”

“If the “riskier” option bypasses racism is it an actual risk”

Because what they define as “risk” works hella different if you’re a high performing non white person being asked to “out perform” people

In a study conducted at a university where you already know you’re out performing
