More progress being made with the veneer top. Slightly bigger gap due to the round-over than I was expecting. Will re-assess the plan once it’s been filled. Nice to see it finally looking guitar shaped though.

I have managed to successfully glue the veneer to the body and headstock. This was a scary part as the veneer is fragile (and expensive!), but I think it went ok. Next step is to trim off the excess and rout the binding slot. #guitar #baritone #diy

I’d recommend it though :)

Not the most exciting update today. But a necessary step in the build: deciding on the colour!
This is my final colour test before deciding whether to go natural or not. This will be sanded back before adding a sunburst style effect over the top. #guitar #diy #guitarbuild
Thanks. Yeah I’m mostly going for the wall of fuzz / big sounds, with some crunchy cleans thrown in for some dynamics. Luckily I’m studio based so I don’t have to take it to gigs!

Like everything else in my tiny ‘studio’ it’s all a bit of a jumble. But it works for me. Technically 3 pedal boards. The bottom 2 can be run in parallel, for example if I want a mixture of fuzz and light overdrive.
