For me, I’ve had the privilege of being an only child to someone who worked in the field. So “the talk” probably doesn’t actually happen as much as it’s said to.

I’m still allowed to freely ask questions about sex and sexual health, because I was taught it wasn’t something to be ashamed of. I was however cautioned of the consequences of unprotected sex.

Thankfully I was raised in a home where I was taught the anatomically correct terms for the body, I was taught about sex and was allowed to ask questions. At a certain age, my mum gave me an informative book with both the female and male reproductive systems and how reproduction works.
