It’s one defender less. It opens us up to transitions (which we saw) and we had another body up front. And Amorim isn’t a yardstick but it was only a month ago we would have been subjected to subbing on multiple centre backs. I wasn’t overall happy but it was a small note of difference.

He took off Dalot for Zirkzee. Overall the game was horrendous. United were completely off it. But I appreciated throwing on an extra attacker when Amorim would still have kept on 3 CB’s!!

I really appreciated that Carrick was willing to gamble. SAF was a gambler and it is a key part of our DNA imo. Take risks.

Not a great game or performance but got a point and didn’t lose. Unbeaten for a good few games now.

Well I think you’re exactly right. And United don’t win either game imo without Cunha who put in very credible performances in both games. If anything, the front 3 have incredible competition for places but they all offer something different.

I love that in being dropped for 2 games…Cunha hasn’t thrown a paddy & sulked. If anything he’s been brilliant when he’s come on in both games. And he has a swagger that is very Manchester United. And you can see how much he loves the club. He’s every fan. Absolute kudos to him.

You can normally “feel” when clubs are coming…intent to move up the table & increasing potency…City leading up to 2012…

Despite the Amorim debacle…I do feel this season we can generate this…and actually the squad has underperformed and on stats, this is backed up…

Ineos get a lot of stick, some fairly, some not. But Amorim had managed to disguise how good our recruitment has been. Ugarte and maybe Zirkzee aside, it’s been a significant improvement than previous regime. Just needs the right manager to showcase the talent we have.

Gary and Roy must be furious. Carrick looks like he knows what he’s doing.

Just as I posted about lack of risk taking, we scored! Our best moments are when we’re breaking from deep.

As soon we have a team penned in, they are devoid of ideas.

There is so little movement and so little appetite to take risk….trying to break lines through either carrying or a pass.

If United could string back to back wins, a top 6 finish is not out of reach. But my god we’re still utter shit.

Lots of inconsistent teams around us. 3 points lost or gained would produce a big swing in league position. It’s there for the taking if United are up for it.

In a game where winning would cement the improvement by the team, would help to change the narrative…which moves us into the champions league position…against 10 men…to then be so abject, so poor…it’s the epitome of shitting the bed. Rarely have I been so disgusted at a game.

I can’t say that it’s improved.

Possibly, given context of the game, just playing terribly. Not clicking, sloppy passing. Dorgu looks off it & Zirkzee is clearly rusty. Everton’s passing has been more incisive & purposeful.

Really hard to be complimentary of United’s play when there is a man advantage.

Can’t complain with that. Cracking goal and even with 10 men, have been better. United have a golden opportunity with this game. No excuses given the man advantage. None.

We’ll miss Casemiro’s heading ability next season!

2 points off 3rd. It’s entirely possible that United finish 15th again.

But with so many dropping points around us, top 4 is there for the taking IF we can string together some good results.

With 1 game a week, EVERY game is a big game. Brighton next.

Couldn’t be happier for Harry Maguire. Wish him only good things after the torrent of abuse he suffered.

He talks so well and you can see it means so much to him.

His resilience, determination and strength of character can only be admired.

Ineos have copped a lot of stick but think Ugarte aside, every signing has been good. Jury is still out on some like Šeško but Cunha & Mbeumo are absolute United players & 2 games in, Lammens has already made a huuuuge difference.

Will Ineos get the credit they’re due? Doubt it.

Curious to see the media coverage after United’s win at Anfield, given how most journos are absolutely lapping up every move from Slot and Liverpool.

Will be interesting to see the scrutiny Slot gets compared to Amorim.
