So happy to share soon with the world (another!) new study in which we explored what belonging feels like for autistic adolescents assigned female at birth (AFAB) in mainstream schools.

FWIW they have been talking about AI ADHD 'wonder' diagnostics since 2021. A lot have failed to replicate, and usually they are based on extremely small sample sizes.

This is medical malpractice. I'm all for increasing access to diagnoses.

But snake oil called AI is still snake oil.

Getting a vibes diagnosis based on extremely limited evidence for validity or reliability... what could go wrong.

This is so fucked up to me, apologising for being human.

I know why it often happens, and it's because they have been made to feel shame for having emotions so many times.

I long for the day that people don't feel the need to apologise for having emotions and crying when discussing difficult times in their lives.

It's completely rational and so many people are still conditioned to make the other person feel as comfortable as possible.

These were exceptions to who I am that my brain tried to use to justify I was this person.

The reality was that I was often beating myself up for things I did when I was 8 years old, and I wasn't that person anymore.

Probably the biggest change is in the approach I have with these memories - simply asking the same question I had asked a million times in a harsh way before:

"Why am I thinking this?"

A lot of the time it was related to OCD, and the thoughts were ego dystonic (not like how I perceive myself).
