FWIW the Eagles offense averages 6.8 yards per game more than Moore’s Saints, which is another argument in Kellen’s favour considering the disparity in talent.

I agree and am not arguing any of this. I wanted him gone after 2023 and in retrospect I’m glad he wasn’t fired for obvious reasons.

I’m just stunned we’re not back here again with the possibility he’ll get canned a year after winning it all, and likely being fine with it if he is.

Yep. He got no say in Kellen Moore and his last two OC hires have been terrible. That’s a black mark.

Predict what’s gonna happen however you like.

But it simply HAS to be better than this.

Ultimately the end of this season will be incredibly instructive.

If they fall apart again, it can’t be tolerated again.

If they turn it around and go on a run (even a run that ends in a close Div Round loss for example) then he’d deserve credit for finding a fix.

Obviously they’re not firing Sirianni now so let’s not entertain it. But if they crater again down the stretch, maybe don’t win the division again, and get wrecked on Wild Card Weekend, then the question will need to be asked.

People do ask what Sirianni does because it’s genuinely not obvious. He doesn’t call plays. His game management is spotty at best.

And while he deserves all the credit he got for turning the 2023 calamity into a Super Bowl, he deserves all the blame if yet another collapse happens.

So a culture builder? Well the Eagles certainly have a culture of winning so that’s good.

But it also feels like the inmates are running the asylum. The Eagles are non stop drama. The AJ Brown stuff. The recent Hurts leaks. All the fire fighting to end 2023. Even last year there was weird stuff.

On the flip side, there are essentially 3 types of good head coaches. Great offensive guys. Great defensive guys, and culture setters.

His side of the ball is offense, and half way through year 1 he stripped himself of play calling, and he’s never taken it back in ‘23 or this year when it’s bad.

It seems like the players never down tools for him. People mistake bad play for a lack of effort sometimes and as bad as it has been for various stretches, I don’t think it’s down to a lack of effort.

So first off he’s obviously been a success on a base level. Insane winning percentage. Playoffs every year. Took over a team in shambles and turned it around.

For all the obvious team leaks about the offense, we never hear anonymous sources talking shit about Nick, so that counts for something.

People want to go from one extreme to the other when it comes to Nick Sirianni.

One side wants to catapult him to the moon no matter what.

The other side points out he won the Super Bowl and thus you just can’t fire him.

Let’s have a sensible conversation about it…
