Trump and his Republican enablers are in total denial about the depth and intensity of public outrage. They comfort themselves with the trope that millions of Americans are “paid protesters.” The reference to Soros, a prominent Jew, adds to their sense these are not “real Americans.” Disgusting.

I fear we have become too numb to Trump’s bluster, lies, and nonsense. His threat to jail his political opponents is clear evidence we have slipped into authoritarian rule. We must not allow this to be normalized in any way.

The brave men and women who serve in our national guards must not be used as political props. This is a moment where every American must speak up and help stop this madness.

Trump should ask the families of all those Vietnamese people killed when their villages were bombed if we took it easy? Curious if changing the name of the Dpt of Defense would have changed the outcomes in Afghanistan? Trump’s constant need to appear “tough” seems a projection of his insecurity.

A President with a sincere interest in reducing crime in urban centers reach out to the mayors and ask “how can I help? What resources do you need?” Sending troops to our streets only makes things worse and invites conflict.

Only a hateful person determined to stoke violence would peddle these lies.

Just a reminder it is improper for any White House official to discuss pending cases with the DOJ. Since Watergate, presidents and attorneys general have understood it is crucial to protect the criminal justice process from political interference. Trump and Vance don’t understand and don’t care.

Corruption means twisting the powers of government for your own personal benefit. Trump is forcing the Department of Justice to violate the rule of law to target his personal enemies. All Americans are in danger when Trump’s whims, not facts and evidence, determine who is charged with “crimes”.

Republicans don’t “control” the Senate, but they do have a majority. The job and responsibility of the leadership is to secure the votes needed to pass their agenda. That often requires negotiation and compromise. Telling Democrats “vote yes or else” isn’t leadership at all.

I too would like to see everyone tone down the extreme rhetoric. The champion of using cruel language is Trump. Everyone who may oppose him is a “lunatic, radical left, total loser, communist, socialist, Marxist, low IQ, out to ruin our country.” Whatever the issue, we must “fight like hell.”

This new DOJ Prosecutor has 5 days to indict Comey before the Statute of Limitations runs out. This is pure weaponization of the DOJ. This is about loyalty and not about a crime. Comey didn't actually commit a crime, he pissed off Child-Rapist Trump and this is punishment.

As a Dodgers fan, it is painful to watch such masterful pitching be followed by an ineffective bullpen blowing leads.

If the goal is to alienate our allies and forfeit America’s global leadership role, Trump is diminishing our status every day. He is an embarrassment and makes it impossible for other nations to trust the United States.

Such a frightening sign of the times. Political figures with no medical experience or expertise are peddling false information that puts all Americans at risk. Whether Tylenol or safe vaccines, they are casting doubt about what works.

It is wrong to censor what can be displayed in museums. But it is reckless and dangerous to censor science and public health guidelines and replace the truth with quack theories. People will get sick and disease will spread.
