It think when it comes to the editorial section it depends on the ratio of right/left writers. I don't think it's as equal as you contend it is. (this is not even to mention the quality of the writers on the right and left, nor the atrocious headlines in the news division)

part of living in a Democracy is we are part of the problem. Those hateful crazed candidates would get no traction if we were not. We can't blame everything on gerrymandering and voter suppression. even if I voted different, did I do other things I could have done? convince anyone? talk to family?

Evangelicals are pro Israel but anti Jewish people living here, mainly due the book of Revelation. They'd be happy if all Jewish people left to go to Israel where evangelicals would support their government no matter what it does. It's weird

the one thing the few conservatives i still talk to have in common is they don't pay attention to news, they all say they have enough in their private lives to take care of. while i sympathize to an extent if someone has a lot of stress, they also keep spouting opinions and vote in their ignorance.
