There are plenty of men who don't sexually harass & abuse. It's not some big mystery.

We are in the South and a lot of churches /pastors/religious folks will say voting Dem is a sin

Even though my grandparents and my parents weren't like that I was still raised around a lot of anti Catholic bias. There is all the social work and outreach that is done but then the fact...they are Catholic & "worship idols" (pray to saints) & christening is a sin...etc

Evangelicals really don't like Catholics. My great aunt was Southern Baptist, sons who were preachers, all Rush Limbaugh and Disney boycotts. She almost refused to go to her oldest grandchild's wedding bc it was in a Catholic Church. She finally did, which surprised me.
