@bmwmotorrad.bsky.social my 2021 R18 is still in the shop. Won't know until tmrw if the 1st replacement clutch was faulty or if I'm in for 2-3 weeks of delay for an ECU. Meanwhile, my Uber home from work rounds off my out of pocket so far at $3500. My life is NOT a ride! 143 days in the shop.

Upper clutch line burst hurling me into inner garage wall ($500 repair to wall) and completely failed at 50mph. Fortunately I survived but my loyalty as a customer has not

BMWs approach to resolving this has been very disappointing. Every part order takes weeks as does authorization for next steps. When a hydraulic clutch drops pressure at 500 miles, something is wrong. Refilling and bunny hopping the obvious put me in harms way twice.

@bmwmotorrad.bsky.social My first BMW was a 1975 R75/6. 100% bulletproof. In 2021 I bought an R18 First Edition. 1st clutch failure @500 miles. 3 more all bandaid fixes by BMW shops. 11/12/24 clutch failed at 50mph. STILL IN SHOP. DELAY IS ALL BMW, NOT THE SHOP.
