Anyway, I love this series and have played many of the games 2-3, times, some of them even 4+ times. And I imagine I will just keep replaying them forever at this point.

I've also played most of XIV though I am a bit behind. Haven't played since 6.0. And of course I went on to play XV and XVI as well, both of those day 1.

...and also playing Crisis Core and Tactics. I didn't play them all literally back to back though. There was usually a game or two between. Eventually I made it to XIII and that was when I was officially caught up. I did go back for I and II, though I didn't play III until somewhat recently.

I did go back to VII and finished that one though.

At this point the marketing was in full swing for XIII and for some reason that was my trigger to finally get more serious about the series. So I marched through in order from IV to XIII (only skipping XI)...

And as I said, X is THAT game for me, one that lives in that special legendary status with games like Ocarina of Time. The right game at the right time.

After that I dabbled in other games in the series but I had a bad habit of getting partway and not finishing them.

Technically the first one I played was VII (a weekend rental), but I didn't really know what a JRPG was at the time and didn't get past the first boss. So my real first FF was X.
