There is no time requirement for grief, you can greive for someone you just met or grieve for someone you have know for years. You are absolutely okay to grieve for Jess, please do not feel like you aren't. I'm sure Jess would say the same. Please take care of yourself

Thank you all who came out in support as we remember @jesskay.bsky.social and the impact she had on this community. Massive shoutout to her sister who came in to read all the loving comments you all gave to her. As we all grieve this massive loss, it’s important to remember to care for each other ❤️

Our family also asks that everyone respects ours and Jess' privacy, so please do not go digging for any information on their passing or the accident.

•There will be no funeral for Jess, per their wishes, so we do not need help with funeral costs.
•Our family is not looking for any gofundme to be set up for Jess atm, tho we appreciate people wishing to help

The last message that she sent me was after seeing me on stream with a friend and saying "I'm glad you guys have each other. Friends are always nice to have."

Jess was one of my best friends and someone who understood my gender journey as I understood theirs. We messaged every day, even if it was just us sending hugs back and forth. I'll miss her so much and ill never forget them.
