Want a cleaner version? Possibly with lights? Here's the chip that's inside the ornament: Sonix SNC27P085S and there are downloadable programming tools. The original ring is green but you could probably use some gel or colored vellum to make it red. Good luck to the 'more ambitious than me' crowd!

I wedged in this board and used the original speaker a.co/d/3SJ65yi Fortunately the power switch and USB port lined up with the battery cover

It's a really annoying mod! The thing is glued shut and you have to hollow out a bunch inside to get a new board to fit
