I'm seeing less posts about the Visa and Mastercard situation and I want to make it plain as day. You need to keep calling and bothering them, and losing them money.

Because if we lose this, they are going to cut more and more from what's available until you can only buy what they approve of.

If you write ‘unalive’ in prose or character dialogue, in your NOVEL - which I have seen TWICE NOW - I will immediately wince and full body cringe. The TikTokification of words has to stop. Your character almost DIED or was KILLED in your novel. They were not almost ‘unalived’.

Sentence fragments are an excellent tool for characterization through dialog - even what's omitted or elided ca be interesting insight. Great for depicting a stream of thought slowing down, or heightened nerves. I don't use them for "establishing shots" in descriptive prose.
