I was in Sacramento and then East bay. Its looking like I might head to LA although I have some opportunities for a new job (was laid off 1/31 grrr) and if they pan out, Im going to be looking in the Bay Area. Its my fav for sure!

Yes!! I am planning to move to California and I can’t wait to get more lifers there. Thats actually were I was for work, but once I live there my weekends can be filled with brand new adventures.

I agree, I was on a work trip in january that allowed me to see 6 new species and I was super excited. I fully know there are countries I am just not allowed in and will never be able to see the birds that are there, its makes me sad, but there are still plenty left for me to discover!

I am like with most birds in general, I know it’s not like Pokémon exactly but i must “capture” them all! 😂

Seems like they might be a bit erratic too! I’d love to discover a new species that I’ve never seen. Thanks for sharing this!

The Sonoran Desert is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been in my life. Pretty much every single bird I saw was a lifer, whether walking in the McDowell preserve or sitting in my cousin's yard. :) The Black-throated Sparrows are GORGEOUS. #birds
