Exactly this. Our health insurance is through our jobs. Don't show up for work, you get fired. No job, no health care. And a massive % of Americans are just 1 hospital bill away from being homeless.

There's no such thing as the "American Dream" anymore. It's a fucking nightmare.

It's easier in other countries where healthcare isn't tied to employment. That's probably the main reason that we don't have national healthcare! It keeps people in check.

But it’s not worth a general strike though, apparently; Americans seem only able to muster a single-day weekend protest every 4 months or so…they’re not exactly taking a stand against what Trump is doing.
