The ability to make decisions and be actively involved is what counts.

If the post were about age he didn't need to mention the mobility challenges at all.

Then why make a big deal about his falling down?

If you don't like his age, just say that.

People who can't walk or stand without assistance but can still get the job done should be able to serve, at any age.

I'd be less worried about sounding ageist and more worried about the insult to people of any age who need mobility assistance.

I despise Mitch McConnell and everything he did to harm this country.

At the same time, I hesitate to take someone's job because he has mobility problems, because I would not want the same standard to be applied to other people who can do the work but need mobility assistance.
