I think Wario is basically Mario's quirky counterpart, people love anti-heroes because they have flaws so they feel more human, in a sense

Also Nintendo likes to experiment with weird art direction in Wario games so that's a big plus

I spent so many hours on Mario Party 3 emulated on an old ass family PC, it's got a very special place in my heart. The OST also gives me a warm sense of nostalgia few other OSTs do. 💚

My review of The World Ends With You for the Nintendo DS on Backloggd: "The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world." This game came at just the right time in my life. Expanding my comfort zone is something I'm really trying to do, and playing this game was part of it. Needless to say I really loved the atmosphere: the artstyle, the music, the writing, everything is so raw and comfortably human, the characters really stick with you and make you care for them and their ideals. I must say, at first I found the gameplay a bit confusing, since the game immediately threw a lot of menus and mechanics at me. It took me some time to get used to battles, but eventually I found out that I just needed to do stuff faster lol. Even though battles became really fun (and sometimes positively challenging), I feel like I ignored a lot of deeper mechanics, like top-screen combat and pin combos (I was mashing on the d-pad all the time lmao). Nevertheless, it goes to show how accessible it can be, despite its depth. A super cool game that taught me to live more and speak louder. 💚 Probably not gonna explore the post-game content for now, but we'll see. I'll also try the sequel as soon as I get the chance!
