The reports of his t0rture and m*rder are horrifying. This is not an isolated incident; this is a direct result of a society that consistently perpetuates, enables, and encourages violence against Black and trans people.

#Trans athletes are not the problem. Why are y’all so hung up about a handful of NCAA athletes….y’all don’t even watch women’s sports 😭😭😭

Cis women: you’ve gotta reject this.

Those “female only” spaces? Not the answer.

“Restrooms according to biological sex”? Not the answer. How will they enforce this?

“But the children…” look at the history of how early every cult was formed. And then look at what happened to those children.

Cis women: you are being instrumentalized to manufacture consent for a culture war against your sisters. This will harm you too. (It already is.)

These attacks on #TransYouth are unconscionable. Knowingly damaging someone’s childhood is wrong. Trans people less than 2% of the population…leave us the fuck alone.

A much needed reminder for me to set aside my own biases & not be corrupted by transphobia. Good people are out there 💗

At yoga the other day I thought a woman was giving me weird looks. I figured she was clocking me, or a TERF. Maybe she even recognized me.

After class she came up to me and said “I think you’re so beautiful, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.” 🥹

The struggles we face as #trans people aren’t inherently because we are transgender.

It’s because society thrives on anti-transness.

The problem is transphobia, not us.

The reason people think transness is a “trend” is because we tokenize marginalized people.

You tokenized us when it was culturally acceptable to learn about gender, and you’re tokenizing us again by using us as flint for your culture war fire.

Saw someone say this anti-trans cultural shift is just to “stop transness from being trendy.”

Y’all…no one is going through the hell of fighting for therapy, medication, document update, constant scrutiny, & daily discrimination because it’s “trendy”.

This is who we are.

If there was ever proof being #trans is NOT a choice…it’s that here we are in the midst of of an onslaught of executive attacks & we’re still out here loud and proud to be trans.

Who would *choose* to be constantly under attack??

#Trans folks: I love you. We are who we say we are no matter what the government says, what a document says, what anyone says but us. 🏳️‍⚧️

I think a major survival skill over the next 4 years will be differentiating between what is rage bait from the gov’t meant to upset and distract us, and what is actual legislation that will impact us.

We’re gonna see a lot of the former; don’t let it take all your energy. Save it for the latter.

There will be a lot of fear and confusion around the executive orders this week. Just because Tr*mp says something it doesn’t automatically make it law or change existing ones.

Who do you know that will: help raise $ for that GFM? talk to that school board member? Approach your co-worker?
