Artificial intelligence was a hot topic at #SABCS24. AI is personalizing treatments, predicting treatment outcomes and more.

There was big news related to ductal carcinoma in situ, or DCIS. Low-risk stage 0 patients may be able to avoid surgery in the future. Longer follow-up is needed, but this could be a game-changer for treatment approaches.

BCRF investigator Fergus Couch identified thousands of BRCA2 gene variants. This breakthrough could improve risk assessment for patients with variants of unknown significance.
