I've lived in SoCal most of my life and have been close to and on evac notice a few times over the past few decades. So I feel pretty confident in my experiences.

I think action should be taken against the 3 paywalled places that are endangering lives, don't you think?

All public avenues to access are free and there are many. In addition, most cities have alert systems as well.

And by the time you get even out in the warning (the get ready) your power is off anyway.
