It’s been one week without Zoey and I’ve hated every minute of it.

I used to love coming home and staying there because my dog always greeted me. Now I go home and there’s no tippy taps, no wagging tail, no drool on my pant legs and what I wouldn’t give to have it all back.

I keep waiting for Zoey to come down the stairs and jump into bed with me and it keeps not happening. I didn’t appreciate her enough while I had the time with her and it’s killing me.

My skin is worse now at 37 with having an iud and regular skin care routine than it ever was before I even started any kind of birth control as a teen. I wash, exfoliate, moisturize, wear minimal makeup, use clean silk pillowcases and switch them out every other day.
