Apparently it hasn’t snowed here since 2005. Being a rare occurrence we ventured out and crossed the bridge so we could photograph the craziness of it!

I’ve been searching online for a picture of him as Mayor of KC, KS. Nothing so far but I found a picture of his grave stone.

My Great-Great-Great Grandfather Marshman was the Mayor of Kansas City, Kansas. He wrote a letter in 1900 that was placed in the Century Box time capsule placed in a pillar of the Convention Hall in 1901 to be opened in 2001. His letter was printed in the KC Star and on display at Union Station.

The gloomy weather fits my mood. It’s windy driving across Texas… always windy. And the roads; don’t get me started on the roads.

We have made the AZ to FL and FL to AZ trip 🤔 at least a dozen times in under 2 years. The trip is actually growing on me.

Mellow loves road trips. He is all for it!

Remembering my Grandfather (left-Coast Guard), Great Grandfather (center- Navy), and Great Uncle (right-Air Force) who all served during WWII.

My Grandfather was 17 final year of WWII. He convinced his mom to let him serve. She agreed to let him join the Coast Guard!
