Less than one hour to go on this Feb. 28 economic blackout. I also have avoided Facebook for the duration. It was easy, probably too brief, but it's a start. It's something. To quote writer David Gerrold, we can be the pebble in the avalanche.

My sister and I have succeeded in buying nothing today (with about 4 and half hours to go). I'm not sure it will be enough, but it's a start.

😟 I'm afraid things will only get worse, but eventually we've got to reach a breaking point where these big business's and monopolies get rejected, toppled, and we can go back to being unique individual artists and craftsmen as it should be.

Day 3 of my Fakebook boycott, and I'm not missing it one bit. Only a few of my friends set up an account here, so I do miss the rest, but to be free of the relentless propaganda is calming.

To be fair, it has eased up a little in the past 2 or 3 days. I didn't mean to air my despair, but it did get pretty bad for a while.

They throw pills at it. At first, hydrocodone, but that didn't touch it. Now it's Toradol, a very high powered NSAID that can't be taken for too long. I think in the past 2 days I've gone from excruciating to almost tolerable. I hope that trend continues. I was pretty desperate for a while.

Weeks and weeks of more pain than I can bear after a TURP surgery a little over a month ago. It's not getting better in spite of the Toradol pain relievers. It's the kind of relentless pain that makes you want to simply cease living. Can't seem to convince anyone. Not sure what to do . . .

Yes. Unfortunately this platform can too easy be abbreviated "BS," so we'll have to see how that goes.

Schadenfreude feels like about all I have left. I'll just make popcorn and watch them slowly, all too slowly, realize the horror they have unleashed. I'm glad I never brought children into THIS world.

Thank you. With macular degeneration, reading using my eyes is getting harder, though not yet impossible. Audiobooks are a blessing.
