You might notice Hoyo going "oh, so people really like that Genshin game? We puttin it in HI3 now". My opinion is that Main Story Open World (not APHO tho) is unnecessary and the maps feel very empty.

Authority is a thing that the Core lets the Herrscher control, i.e. Death or Void are authorities. There is a detail that Herrschers, the people, have an authority "assigned" forever even if a Core is removed from them, at least in CE. Though their powers are greatly diminished without a Core.

If he ever said that, it must have been a translation issue, as Mei has nothing to do with the authority of Death. Absolutely NOT the case that Serenity is gone. 🙏
