Why are so many people (fans and pundits alike) acting like Van Baarle and Gloag being good is automatically related to them leaving Visma/a sign Visma should have kept them, and not most of all the absolutely logical conclusion of two great riders finally not having any broken bones for once? π€¦π»ββοΈ

The Rockets arenβt French enough, so it totally makes sense for ASO to invite a team with more of a French identity like *checks notes* Caja Rural.

After reading about Vingegaard crashing on training yesterday and the total amount of random riders jumping onto proβs wheels.
I have a question.
How would you feel about a random person breathing down your neck at work? Without asking if you are fine with itβ¦

Iβm sorry but if you by your own admission donβt have much first hand knowledge of his personality but decided to perpetuate negative hearsay about him to the press, I think that says more about you than him.

Photo of an open laptop. Behind the laptop is a stack of boxes with some yellow Visma jerseys folded on top. The screen is open to a photo editing software and the photo shown is of Matteo Jorgenson in Visma kit, showing off a piece of team merch. The Rabobank side panel of the jersey is yellow instead of black.
Minor changes only, Iβd guess. Wout posted this photo last week (has since been deleted from that post) and it looks like some slight changes to the current jersey, but not much.

Photo of Jonas Vingegaard at the 2024 Tour de France team presentation. It shows Jonas from mid-thigh up, standing with one side facing the camera, with his hands on his bike and leaning slightly forward. He is looking up at something just to the side of the camera, with a small smile on his face. The lighting is very soft and beautiful.
Since itβs his birthday, Iβll share one of my favorite Jonas photos:

White text on a light blue background. The text reads:
OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Tour of Norway is cancelled for 2026
This follows the government securing a majority for the national budget, which withdraws the state's financial contribution to the event.
"For 10 years, the private and public sector, as well as volunteer cycling clubs worked together to make an international race possible
- one that has put Norway on the map. It has also been a fantastic arena for developing new talent. Several of Norway's leading riders have showcased their abilities and grown through Tour of Norway," says Roy Hegreberg, Managing Director of Tour of Norway.
After the government's unexpected funding cut, there is no longer a financial basis to continue work on next year's event. The board of Fjords Cycling, the organization behind Tour of Norway, has therefore decided to halt all planning. Fjords Cycling is 100% owned by volunteer cycling clubs and does not have the capital or financial c apacity to sustain the event on its own.
"I respect that the parliamentary majority sets its priorities, but I wish there had been communication in advance. This was a big surprise, and there has been little willingness to engage in dialogue with us," Hegreberg says.
Tour of Norway has always been built and operated by and for the sport - owned by local cycling clubs, rooted in the Norwegian sports model, and with everything reinvested into making the race the best it can be. We have worked purposefully to strengthen gender equality in cycling and have delivered Scandinavia's only top-level stage race for both women and men.
White text on a light blue background, with the Tour of Norway logo at the bottom. The text reads: A decade-long partnership between the public sector, private sector, and volunteers now disappears without warning. With it, the positive impact the race has created for both the sport and local communities is lost.
To our 150-200 volunteers, and everyone who contributes to Tour of Norway year after year: thank you. The race exists because of you, and we are truly sorry that we cannot welcome you back in 2026.
To the teams that continue to show interest and return every year: we are deeply grateful. We hope to see you again if we succeed in bringing the race back in 2027.
To all contributors from both the private and public sectors who have supported us, and who were preparing to support the 2026 edition: we hope and believe you will stand with us as we work to build a foundation for 2027.
We will do everything we can to ensure that this is only a temporary setback - not the end of Tour of Norway.
