Pharmacy Innovation Fellows Revolutionising pharmaceutical care from the ground up

Building the future of healthcare requires all professionals to lead.

I propose for every hospital in the UK to have a Pharmacy Innovation Fellow to increase the spread and adoption of innovation and undertake research in their hospitals.

Yesterday I attended the launch of @chamberuk.bsky.social / @curiauk.bsky.social's Life Sciences report in partnership with @revvity.bsky.social in Parliament. Discussions focussed on the barriers to adopt and scale innovations in the NHS such as procurement, evidence, and IG.

He did train in medicine in the UK

Great meeting Lord Kamall, Shadow Minister for Health in the House of Lords yesterday. We discussed all things #tech, #AI and #Pharmacy.

Despite our political differences it's important to build relations across the board and it was great to meet someone who genuinely cares about patient safety.

It’s clear there is a need for a cadre of ops managers, like a fellowship, to support other countries with less developed management career pathways, and perhaps something the ODI Global or The Commonwealth Fund could explore.
