Reeves's electric car subsidies

She had a choice between:

a) £3,700 subsidy to help one person to buy a new £37,000 electric car

or

b) £3,700 to subsidise 4 terraced houses in a poor area to unloop and put in chargers so that they can run second-hand electric cars

Cutting "red tape" (aka public protections), as Reeves is doing, does not save money. Instead, it transfers costs from the rich to the poor. Other people pay for financial recklessness, filthy rivers, air pollution, lax building standards and consumer rip-offs.
