This Women’s History Month, I’m thinking about the generations of Kentucky women who paved the way by breaking barriers, speaking up, and serving their communities with grit and grace.
I’ll keep fighting to make sure the next generation of women knows there is nothing they can’t do.

The Constitution is clear: the power to declare war belongs to Congress.

Read my statement on the President’s unconstitutional military action in Iran and the urgent need for an immediate war powers vote.

Live updates: Tehran launches retaliatory strikes as Trump calls for regime change The U.S. and Israel struck Iran on Saturday. President Donald Trump said the Iranian public should “take over" their government. The first strikes appeared to target Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Al...

I served 3 combat tours over our 20 years of war in the Middle East. Trump had an entire SOTU address to make the case for going to war in Iran. He did not.

Congress is absent, & for years, it has ceded its war making powers. Now, Trump has started another foreign war.

I’m honored to have the endorsement of Virginia Woodward.

Virginia has spent her life standing up for Kentucky women, families, and equal opportunity.

Her support means a great deal to me. Together, we’re going to keep fighting for fairness, opportunity, and a Kentucky that works for everyone.

This week I was thrilled join the Changemakers panel at our local public elem. school with students who are already asking big questions about leadership, service & making a difference in their community.

I was proud to be there as a veteran, candidate for the U.S. Senate and as Eleanor's mom.

Watch: Trump awards Medal of Honor, Legion of Merit and more throughout State of the Union President Trump awarded two Medals of Honor, two Purple Hearts and a Legion of Merit throughout the course of his State of the Union address Tuesday night. Mr. Trump also announced that U.S. men's hockey team goaltender Connor Hellebuyck would be receiving the Medal of Freedom. See the moments.

Last night, two extraordinary Americans—Eric Slover & Royce Williams—were awarded the medal of honor.
Their courage & commitment represents the very best of our nation.

Tonight’s State of the Union Address from President Trump will be filled with talking points. But what he says is a different story from what is really happening. Americans deserve the facts.

This week is Public Schools Week 📚

Strong schools start with dedicated teachers, supportive leaders, and families and communities working as one.

Even FOX Business is reporting it.
A new Washington Post poll shows 64% of Americans disapprove of Donald Trump’s tariffs.

And now we've got Mitch McConnell praising the Supreme Court for striking them down.

Funny how some Republicans only admit it on the eve of their retirement. What a joke.

Kentucky Supreme Court strikes down charter school funding law as unconstitutional The court ruled the law violates the Kentucky Constitution.

The Kentucky Supreme Court got it right. Public education dollars belong in our public schools.

In a unanimous decision, the Court ruled that House Bill 9 violates our state constitution and that tax dollars cannot be diverted to charter schools without voter approval.

Gov. Beshear signs bill dealing with energy costs into law Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear signed Senate Bill 172 on Thursday making it the first bill of this legislative session to be signed into law.

Great to see Senate Bill 172 signed into law to help lower utility costs for Kentucky families.

Now let’s build on this progress and pass the $75 million proposal to help at-risk Kentuckians keep the lights on and their homes warm.

Homeland Security Wants Social Media Sites to Expose Anti-ICE Accounts

DHS is issuing subpoenas to ask for the names & contact info for the social media accounts criticizing ICE.

This is a complete violation of your rights. The First Amendment doesn’t have an asterisk that says “unless you criticize the government.”

ICE plans to spend $38.3 billion turning warehouses into detention centers ICE plans to spend $38.3 billion converting warehouses into detention centers, according to planning documents, more than the annual budgets of 22 states.

Congress continues to increase funding for ICE while millions of Americans struggle to afford basic needs like food, health care & housing.
Its worth asking whether these priorities truly serve the American people.

Tyler Childers joins Kentucky mothers’ fight to save rural Ephraim McDowell birthing center Tyler Childers has joined the fight to keep the Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital’s obstetric unit open as its closure shakes up plans for his second child’s delivery.

A rural community is losing access to critical care.

Moving a birthing center farther away puts moms and babies at risk and adds stress at the most vulnerable moment of their lives.

Kentucky families deserve better.

This shouldn't be a partisan issue. Powerful people, on an international scale, who have allegedly committed heinous crimes, are being protected by Pam Bondi and the D.O.J.

Since when are we a nation that protects pedophiles? The victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his network deserve justice.

Proud of the students who are peacefully exercising their right to speak up for what they believe in. That takes courage & conviction. And grateful to the administrators & staff who worked to keep students safe and supported. This is what democracy looks like in action.

The SAVE Act isn’t about election integrity. It’s about making it harder for eligible Americans to vote. Citizenship is already required. This bill would force people to jump through unnecessary hoops and could block millions from the ballot box. That’s not democracy.
