When the President of the United States calls for the execution of elected officials for speaking truth to power, it’s a direct attack on our democracy.

Grocery prices are up, wages aren’t, and Kentucky families are paying the price.

How are we supposed to “Make America Healthy Again” if leaders keep undermining healthcare?

Everything they’re doing moves us backward. Raising insurance premiums, shutting down rural hospitals, and making it harder to pursue healthcare degrees isn’t how you build a stronger, healthier country.

Can someone explain how a theologian is more “professional” than a nurse practitioner? The Dept. of Ed’s new “professional degree” rules cut women-dominated fields like healthcare and social work from higher loan limits, pushing women out and worsening our workforce shortages.

Watching Donald Trump call a woman reporter “piggy” and then berate another for simply doing her job is absolutely unacceptable behavior. Our kids deserve leaders they can admire, leaders who show respect. We need to demand better for them and for our country.

After talking with cattle producers today at the North American International Livestock Expo in Louisville, one thing is clear. Trump’s move to import Argentine beef is hurting their business. Kentucky farmers deserve better leadership.

Happy Veterans Day to all who have served. Today we honor the women and men who raised their right hand, served our country, and sacrificed so much for something bigger than themselves. I’m proud to have worn the uniform and to stand alongside so many incredible Americans.

Over the weekend, I had the chance to visit with folks in Owensboro and at the Sisters of Loretto Motherhouse. I was reminded of the strength, faith, and resilience that make Kentucky such a special place.

The Trump administration is ordering states to take back the food assistance they’ve already given to millions of struggling families.

This isn’t fiscal responsibility. It’s cruelty. Republicans in Congress are refusing to stand up to Trump even when it hurts their own constituents.
