And by "taking the bus" I do mean "walking for 10 minutes then waiting 15 minutes then taking the bus"

26.02.2026 16:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Is oral communication not a job requirement for our police leadership or something? How do you go into a press conference and speak this nonsense.
25.02.2026 16:13 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Not by law, no. I thought this was part of VIAs operating agreement with the freight carriers though.
25.02.2026 15:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Eh? Isn't the situation basically the same? VIA trains are supposed to have priority but the freight companies just eat the fines?
25.02.2026 15:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Somehow this is the fiscally responsible plan.

Yes, yes, fun election year sparring about Tory's legacy. Woo. So excited. We'll just ignore that Metrolinx (and the TTC) are now near totally incapable of the basics, forecasting hundreds of millions of dollars to build surface regional rail stations.

23.02.2026 12:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I love how easy to use our city council agenda webpage is.

It is on the website.

These photos are a great example of how unsustainable asset management is with single family zoning of this scale. There is no way to reasonably expect current rates of property taxes to fund the massive scale of infrastructure debt looming in communities everywhere. You can't refute the real data.
20.02.2026 15:15 β π 25 π 5 π¬ 2 π 0We need to stop referring to grass or landscaped areas with nothing on them as βgreen spaceβ as though itβs equivalent to actual public park spaces. Your backyard is also not βgreen spaceβ.
20.02.2026 12:57 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0This neighborhood has an enormous amount of *actual* parkland, it is not hurting for parkland.
20.02.2026 12:58 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Why does this warrant a news story? The space is not a park, it's not a natural space. It's a bunch of empty lots that used to have housing. It should have housing again.
20.02.2026 12:54 β π 8 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0I bet Denley wrote this from his home office.
20.02.2026 12:01 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There should be a link to that form prominently featured on your homepage. People shouldn't have to dig for it.

@helps.octranspo.com why is it so hard to report a problem on your website?
One of the street-level doors at Smyth station is locked shut and has been for a week now.
Seriously, it's so good and the only unusual ingredient (Ro*Tel Tomatoes) is easy to find at Loblaws these days.
Highly recommend.
Crazy that the stovetop cheeseburger macaroni didn't make the cut here. It's one of my favorites.

19.02.2026 16:49 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0The idea that people should live downtown (or even an acknowledgment that people currently *do* live there) never seems to come up in these discussions.
19.02.2026 16:36 β π 10 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0The city's own report cites the CAA study that showed a far larger risk from turning movements than their own data. Bizarre for them to ignore that in their media outreach.
