These photos are a great example of how unsustainable asset management is with single family zoning of this scale. There is no way to reasonably expect current rates of property taxes to fund the massive scale of infrastructure debt looming in communities everywhere. You can't refute the real data.

We need to stop referring to grass or landscaped areas with nothing on them as ‘green space’ as though it’s equivalent to actual public park spaces. Your backyard is also not “green space”.

Why does this warrant a news story? The space is not a park, it's not a natural space. It's a bunch of empty lots that used to have housing. It should have housing again.
