Great day today presenting at our ELSA conference! Then a fantastic commissioner meeting thrashing out ideas for our ELSA sleep support package for working with parents/carers.
Lots of exciting things in the pipeline with actual tangible stuff coming out of the research.

Today was one of those days where I realised I’m actually going to be an EP! So lucky to be working with such amazing children and schools. Loved every minute of today.
This makes up for the endless nights at the laptop crying over lit reviews… sort of 🤣

By far the best Christmas present I’ve ever had. A ring with my dads ashes in 💙

Im so excited to deliver ELSA training tomorrow to a new cohort. Doing ELSA training myself was where I knew I wanted to be an EP. So I feel as though I have come full circle! My thesis is about ELSA work too so I cannot wait!

Last day of uni in 2024 complete! Half way through the doctorate and feel like I’ve learnt so much since September! Still absolutely loving this job. What a privilege to be supporting such wonderful children, families and schools 💖

Who would ever think it would be a good idea to plan a wedding in the middle of a doctorate? Yep that would be me 🙈

What a fab day! Worked with some lovely young people, fab staff and families.
Didn’t expect to be cheering on @PaddyMcGuinness cycling past the school for @ChiIdreninNeed half way through an assessment though 🤣

Really productive week so far, planning ELSA training, meeting with SENCOs, supporting an amazing early years team using solution brief therapy and have finalised a report for EHCNA. I’m feeling quit accomplished and motivated! 💪🏻

I have leant so much from others today. So lucky to be part of a team of skilled people who are happy to share their practice. Thinking about young people and the contexts surrounding them with other professionals is the best part of the job.

I’ve loved today, a joint outcomes meeting, and then report writing. I love gaining the view’s of parents and learning more about the child in different contexts. A long and tiring but useful day 🥰

Got to the bottom of my to do list and then created another. I’ve come to terms with the fact I’ll never actually have nothing to do 🤣

Some days everything is fine and others grief hits you like a ton of bricks and you realise that everything you know about the person is now just a memory 💙

Productive morning! Full food shop and house clean before 8.45. Wrote up a piece of work explaining the impact of the ELSA programme, SOPS log updated and induction modules completed!
Looking forward to learning more from @EP_MatthewF on all things EBSA later!

Fab first day back in uni. Lovely to catch up with the group and learn more about culturally responsive consultation with @DrCathyAtkinson. Looking forward to meeting the new year 1 cohort tomorrow.

Really recommend having a listen to this. My takeaway was to remember that the language we use, even not directly in the presence of children has a huge impact. Something I’ll be thinking about when report writing.

This week I have just had to pinch myself that this is actually my job! I absolutely love it! So many exciting opportunities coming up. Cannot wait to get back into schools and be with some actual children 😆
