it took an expensive, coordinated effort & a lot of people saying β€œthis doesn’t matter” to get from a bathroom ban costing one state $400 million & a gubernatorial race to β€œtrans people must turn in their documents which become invalid in a few hours or face fines & potential jail time” in 10 years.

They beat a blind refugee who speaks no English for failing to obey police commands he could not understand. Then instead of apologizing, they charged him with possession of a β€œweapon”—HIS WALKING STICK. Then they dumped him miles from home without notifying anyone, after which he was found dead.

Let Them Fly First Class: Kristi Noem’s DHS Luxury Jet Scandal Inside Noem's flying palace. Plus: Pentagon demands obedient, deadly AI. The race to deploy untested nuclear reactors. Lawmakers move to rein in presidential pardons. And remembering Robert Duvall.

The interior of Kristi Noem’s new billionaire-class luxury jet is complete with two bidets and a wet bar with a wine chiller. It will be purchased on our dime from the slush fund Congress approved in the One Big Beautiful Bill.

Journalists should explain the implications of Berger's radical view: it means that only the General Assembly gets to decide what is and what isn't constitutional. That's clearly not how our democracy was ever intended to function.

Senate bill seeks to give West Virginia private schools β€˜freedom from government oversight' β€’ West Virginia Watch The Senate is advancing a GOP-backed bill that strikes out many current requirements for West Virginia private schools.

Critical to the success of school "choice" aka privatization is removing any transparency and accountability as they divert public funds to private schools.

The inability to measure the results of vouchers given to these mostly religious institutions strips choice from taxpayers and parents.
