The brain is an organ. Mental illnesses are illnesses of that organ. Brain scans show that there is a physical difference between a healthy brain and a sick brain. Telling someone "You're not really sick. It's all in your head." is like telling someone with asthma "It's not real, it's all in your lungs." The brain is an organ that can malfunction as much as any other organ.

Mental Health is important, and mental illness is no joke.

Too many people are too dismissive about this entire topic.

Black people are not allowed to talk amongst themselves without white people feeling its their duty to police those conversations. The response from white people to this statement by Kamala Harris is an example. Those responses to her statement are also a glowing example of hit dogs hollering.

White people didn't think enough of the late Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sr. to have him lie in state at the capitol like Billy Graham. They didn't think enough of the late Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. to air his funeral on national TV.

But they still feel its their duty to police the speeches at his funeral.
