Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.

The way I’ve tried to encourage friends to keep creating is that you still get the “experience points” even if you don’t finish or never post what you made. You did the action, now you’ve got more EXP. That’s how it works. You don’t have to “cash it in”; you just get experience from doing things.

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑
