I think breweries (& bars) with large car parking lots are such a scary symptom of forced car dependency.

In cities, esp, residents should have the option (& ideally be incentivized) to take a mode of travel that doesn’t involve driving a car home after drinking.

I'm in Ottawa. Very sorry for all citizens who bike in this city. It could be beautiful, there's space, but I have seen several death traps where the bike lane just ends and you have to merge into traffic. Oh, they added a green bike drawing or a yellow sign that says "share the road", ok thanks!

Some US members of congress wrote the Canadian ambassador on July 7, 2025 with respect to fire management and the resulting smoke from Canadian forest fires. The reality is that the increase in fires & smoke is largely due to human-caused climate change, and we will see more fire in the future.
