Maternal asthma in pregnancy can be associated with later puberty in sons

Boys born to mothers w/ asthma had slightly later pubertal development. No associations were observed among daughters, & findings were not explained by either birth weight or childhood asthma.

Increasing messaging to not use drugs alone & continued education for bystanders to identify & respond to an overdose is crucial to reduce overdose fatalities.

A potential bystander was only present in 25% of drug overdose deaths in Tennessee from 2019-2022.

Improvements were seen particularly for students who identified as Hispanic and Non-Hispanic White
