Unfortunately, MeWe is the only social media I've found that is designed well for real connection (but like everywhere it also suffers from bots, scammers and morons).

Note: I oppose "age verification" because there is no technical solution for how to do this without losing anonymity on the Internet (a key to free speech). Protecting children from undesired content is the responsibility of parents (not social media companies).

The UK is ramping up their insanity and is "investigating" four companies (that provide adult content).

The fight for freedom on the Internet continues!

Mississippi has insane laws so Bluesky simply isn't operating there (unless you use a VPN). The UK, South Dakota and Wyoming have slightly more sane laws so from any of those locations you just have to identify yourself (age verification) before you can see any "adult" content (including chat).
