Note both Norwich and QPR had really good ends to the 2023/24 season, but havent been able to keep it up this.

Leeds, Boro and West Brom and Swansea largely consistent this season compared to the back end of last season.

I have compared the parts of 23/24 and 24/25 that happened in 2024. Only 5 teams averaging more points per games this season, compared to the end of last season. The 3 largest increases were the teams with the lowest PPG at the back end of last season.

Wednesday finish the calendar year with 10 away wins, only bettered by Leeds (11).

Wednesday also finish the calendar year with 10 away losses. The joint 6th worst.

Wednesday conceded 39 away goals this calendar year. Only Watford (41), Cardiff (43), Plymouth (47) worse.

Between 9 April 2013 and 4th October 2024, Sheffield Wednesday only won 3 away games after conceding first in the Championship.

Equalled that in 5 games this season.

We definitely have more depth than last season. Gives Danny a lot more options off the bench.

With so many three game weeks as well, I think it’s testament to Danny and his staff on how well they’ve been able to manage the players as well.

Sheffield Wednesday have used 22 players in the league this season. Only Swansea and Preston (21) have used less.

However Wednesday have made the most subs in the league (74).

Keeping players fresh could be imperative, especially in the second half of the season.
