Rufus and jusis are so doomed cuz rufus is a dumbass imo but they're gettihg so much better jt made me cry

Idk I also like to think all that emotional distance also comes from preparing jusis to survive in the real world with little handholding but enough to go along and be self sufficient maybe to make it easier on themselves or some self projection???

Them actually form a true familial bond since the only thing rufus knew of family had to do with osborne so never saw jusis as true family, esp with all the guilt they carry due to being seen as an heir despite not the true one

But time did make rufus realise that they do love jusis as a brother and started seeing him more as his own person instead of a child who represents the wrongdoings of the albarea household and nobility, I think they just never realised that spending all that time w jusis made

Lapis taught rufus to openly love and express themself,,,, 😭 something they did not know at all when taking case of jusis esp when his existence is the reason why rufus went into the deep end, so I always imagined it to be somewhat onesided sibling relationship at first

I think rufus doubting osborne just made them want to do more for them (aka surpass him) since that's the only way to prove their worth 😭
Also I think it's funny that jusis and rufus relationship is a lot more superficial than with lapis, like taking care of jusis was a role thrown at them

IIRC SL simply copied the way rufus acts to the public therefore fundamentally missing the fact that rufus acts out of love and desire to be acknowledged and sincerely praised by the people they care about most this is long sorry... 😭

Id argue they have nothing in common at all... Rufus in themselves have such a big gap between the person they are and the person they present themselves to be which is highly influenced (mainly jsut groomed) by osborne and is driven by their paternal love for him which is one thing that SL did not

This is soo good cuz rufus is actually a lot more messy than they let out to be 😭 and it shows cuz SL fundamentally did not understand what drives rufus to act the way they do and how their emotions are a lot less stable and grounded
